Perla Group's story
The group members have different businesses, such as a fish market, candy store, notions store, general store, clothing store, grain sales, firewood sales, internet café, and an auto mechanic shop.
In Mary’s case, she is a 37-year-old married mother with 4 children. She has an internet café at home. Additionally, she sells desk supplies and candy with the help of her husband.
Yuli, on the other hand, is a 37-year-old single mother with 3 children. She sells fish, distributing it wholesale at the fish market.
The members need different loan amounts—anywhere from 300.00 PEN, to 600.00 PEN, to 1,050.00 PEN—for a total of 8,550.00 PEN from their microfinance institute.
The loan will be invested in purchasing fish, cookies, candy, desk supplies, rice, sugar, and firewood.
The group members dream of having a wholesale bookstore, of seeing their children become professionals, and of improving their businesses.
