Rita's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy feed and piglets for her piggery business.

Rita's story

Rita is 43 years old and is married with 4 children. She lives in a rural community outside of Honiara, the capital of the Solomon Islands.

She currently runs and operates a small piggery business, where she sells pigs to her customers near and far. She sells to customers during big events like for example, for a marriage events for feasting, and other big events held around her community where she lives in order to earn a living. She has been doing this for 4 years.

With her previous loans, she was able to start up her business, pay for her family needs, and children's school fees. With the help of ongoing training on how to run and manage a business from SPBD staff, she is making a good income and her business is running smoothly.

Rita is now requesting for a new loan to buy some piglets and feed to increase her stock and to help maintain and grow her business. She plans to use her profit to build a house for her family.

She joined SPBD in 2013 to gain access to financial services.
