A loan helped Repair of her deep-freezer.

Beatriz's story

Beatriz is 32 years old. She is a cheerful and understanding mother. She lives in the house she inherited from her parents together with her three children: Bladimir, 9; Yanira, 7; and Mery, 6. She wishes to give her children a good life.

Beatriz’s work is the sale of fish. She has a stand in the Cerro Colorado Market (an important market in the city of Juliaca). Her stand is very crowded with her customers since she sells the freshest and tastiest fish in the market and is a very cheerful saleswoman who always has a smile for her customers.

What she likes most about her work is conversing and joking with her neighbors in the market. She has been in this business for 12 years, and the most difficult thing is enduring the intense odor of the fish, since this sticks to her clothes and she has to bear it all day. For the future, she hopes to have a small refrigerator where she can sell her fish without fear that it will spoil from the heat of the sun.

This is Beatriz’s fifth loan with MFP. She feels very happy about the opportunity of obtaining credit and hopes to make all her payments on time. She is a very dear member of her community bank because of the joy she puts into the group. With the 2000 new soles she is applying for she will make repairs to her deep-freezer since with the passage of the years it has broken down. With money that is left over she will buy more fish in order to have more merchandise to sell.
