Kamono Group's story

Douba is a Malian sheep breeder aged 30. He lives in a small village in Mali. He is married and has 2 children aged 5 months and 2 years. He is holding the rope of the sheep. His wife is a housewife in the same village. They are all illiterate.

Douba began herding sheep 4 years ago. He dreams about his children's future. He approached the RMCR to obtain more funding for his breeding activity. He buys sheep in the surrounding villages and resells them to the local markets. The profit from selling sheep allows him to take cover some family expenses, children's medical expenses, and clothing. His main business concern is the drop in market prices.
