Current Group's story

Spiwe designs unique clothes that accommodate all body shapes. She is a creative clothes designer who ventured into the business at a young age. Her mother taught her to sew and over the years she has perfected her knowledge and expertise in the tailoring industry.

Spiwe is a 59 year old widowed mother of 5 children. She is a member of Current group based in Harare, Zimbabwe. The group consists of four members who are in the business of selling clothes, preschool and fruit and vegetables. The cohesion of the group is very strong and they have a good repayment history.

Spiwe highlighted that she enjoyed the Thrive training and believes that is the reason why her star is shining brighter as a business woman. The lesson on savings is one that she took to heart. The savings she kept assisted her to purchase a residential stand for her son. She is thankful for the training as she now keeps proper track of her business. She believes that working in a group has also benefited her as she has been inspired by her group members. She has taken a fourth loan of $800. Her plans are to buy more clothing materials to meet the rising demand.
