Hmaw Eing – 1 (B) Village Group's story

Sann, a woman who is standing second from the left and wearing Burmese traditional make-up called Thanaka on her face, is the featured borrower of Hmaw Eing – 1 (B) Village Group. She is 49 years old and works together with her husband as farmers. Her spouse is responsible for cultivating their six acres paddy field and coconut, betel nuts and other fruits on the side. To boost the family's income, Sann is in charge of duck farming. Currently, her small duck farm has 100 ducks. She always takes care of her ducks, pasturing and feeding them. With this loan, she is going to buy quality duck feed. A well-balanced diet is critical for ducks' health and, consequently, good egg production.

Together with Sann in the picture are: Than, Kyin, Khin, Hpyu and Aung.
