Gloria Marlen's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped Gloria to repair her vehicle and buy cardboard, iron, glass, aluminum, and bronze.

Gloria Marlen's story

Gloria is 35 years old and started her own business as a scrap merchant in 2009 for the benefit of her own family as well as of the environment.

Her and her family used to work in the fields, but moved to the country's capital in order to improve their quality of life. In the city, she learned the business from her sister-in-law and started selling and buying scraps of metal and other materials.

Now she is applying for her first Kiva loan through Fundación Mario Santo Domingo. She will invest in repairing her vehicle and in the purchase of cardboard, iron, glass, aluminum, and bronze. This will allow her to keep the inventory she needs in order to improve her business.
