Mamata's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay for private coaching fees and buy study materials to continue her son's education.

Mamata's story

Achyutananda lives with his parents in Khurda district in the state of Orissa. He is reading in class 2 in Laba Kusha School in Bhubaneswar. His mother Mamata runs a cloth business with her husband. Their family earns around 8,000 Indian rupees (INR) per month. They are finding it difficult to pay for Achyutananda's private tuition fees and purchase textbooks at the same time with their meager savings.

Mamata (pictured with her son) applied for a loan of 20,000 INR from the Mahashakti Foundation, one of Milaap's field partners, for her son’s education. Mamata and her family will be thankful to their lenders for the support of their son.
