Gs. Castaños Unidos Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase young cows.

Gs. Castaños Unidos Group's story

Mirna, 47 years old, lives with her husband and their children in the small village of Castaño, in the municipality of Triunfo, in the frontier zone with Nicaragua. Her productive and commercial activity is agriculture, livestock, and her grocery store, an activity that she practices daily in her own home.

The grass that her crops leave serve as food for her livestock. She processes the milk that her livestock generates and sells her cheese in the store. With the residue, or as it’s known, suero, she fattens her pigs. She is an entrepreneurial woman who works each day arduously so that her family has a better quality of life. She generates her income in this way.

She needs the loan to invest in the purchase of young cows to put out to pasture and later sell to the highest bidder.

Mirna has very big dreams, that her grocery store becomes the largest in the area and to improve the quality of her livestock.

Mirna is requesting the loan as part of a group: Edwin and Noris both perform the same commercial agricultural activity.
