Accents And Art
Accents And Art's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support
A loan helped provide employment and training to 100 additional low skilled artisans.
Accents And Art's story
Low skilled artisans in Ghana are unable to refine their craft due to lack of quality training. Many of these artisans cannot start their business because they have no access to training or capital. Additionally, they cannot secure stable employment because the arts and construction sectors employ seasonally. This causes extreme difficulty in emergencies as families cannot predictably save and plan a better future. The Solution
In 2000, Constance E. Swaniker incorporated Accents and Art with the mission of providing quality artistic products while providing employment and training to low skilled artisans in Ghana. They provide steady income and a place to build skills and their network. The platform helps artisans to set up their own workshops once they leave the company as experienced craft personsImpact
Accents and Art has employed 40 employees on full time and part time basis within this year. They intend to employ 100 artisans when they expand into full scale manufacturing.Loan Use
With your support, this loan will allow Accents and Art to bridge the gap in cash flows that exists between its suppliers and when they receive cash from their customers. The loan will help them expand their operation and secure more orders from corporate clients to further assist their artisans.
