Christine's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped fund the expansion into a brand new studio space allowing more classes and students in each class.

Christine's story

I grew up in the dance studio and have struggled with body image and eating disorders for most of my life. I started my first diet when I was 10 and worked out because I hated my body. It wasn't until I made working out fun and learned to love my body that I found happiness as well as my purpose - in helping others find the same. Working out can be fun and I am so blessed to be able to help others not just physically but enjoy improved mental and emotional health as well. When I as 11 years old my parents built a dance studio in our basement (mostly for me to practice). But my entrepreneurial spirit was birthed one summer when I decided to offer dance classes in my basement. I created fliers to market my classes. My first summer I had 20 students whom I collected tuition from for lessons. I offered a recital at the end of the summer so students could showcase what they learned to parents and friends. My mom made costumes and we made programs on the typewriter and we had a bbq after. I look back at what I had started at such a young age and realize my happiest moments were when I was serving others and embracing my entrepreneurial spirit. My future dreams are to continue to share my passion through dance and serve more people in a larger more permanent studio space.
