Arati's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped her to expand her hand loom business by making and selling more varieties of saris.

Arati's story

Arati, 28, residing in the district of Nadia, West Bengal, wants to support her husband by making saris and selling them. Her husband collects raw thread from the market, makes the thread into the finished material, and fits the threads in a part of the handloom machine, and makes saris.

She has a household size of six members and a monthly income of 7,500 INR, with savings of 3,300 INR monthly, hence she wishes to increase her monthly income. The loan amount of 15,000 INR from Gram Bikash Kendra, a field partner of Milaap, will help her to support her husband to make and sell more saris in the local market.
