Grupo Barcelona Group's story

Daniel is 57 years old, married, and has 7 children. He resides with his wife in the municipality of Choloma, in Cortes. Daniel has dedicated himself to agriculture for some 35 years, cultivating basic crops such as corn and beans. Hedoes his farming in an agricultural area and sells his production in the local neighboring region. This is his principal source of income. In addition to corn and beans, Daniel sets aside an area for African Palm, from which he obtains additional income.

Daniel has decided to request a loan as part of a group, for the purpose of buying seeds and fertilizers for his corn and bean crops, in order to obtain better production. His goal is to continue cultivating corn and beans, and to fortify his palm production, improve his income, and achieve a better quality of life for himself and his family.

His group is called Barcelona Group and is composed of 3 members, who live in the same zone and dedicate themselves to cultivating basic grains. The group loan is for 90,000 Lempiras and will be used to purchase seeds, manure and fertilizers to apply to their corn and bean crops.
