Sara's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support
A loan helped To expand my bakery business into bigger markets.
I never imagined myself an entrepreneur. For 11 years, I was a stay-at-home mom of five kids, including a special needs child. Took care of my aging parents who both have now passed away. My babies went off to school and I found myself lost. What was my purpose now? Not to mentioned I missed my mom terribly. My husband suggested that maybe it was time for me to go back to work. So I looked but nothing seemed worth the sacrifice of time away from the kids and what about summers? Our daughter Madi invited her friend Ben and his family over for dinner and that dinner party changed my life forever. Ben's dad helped me turned my lifelong passion for baking pies with my mom's pie crust recipe into an amazing opportunity. Rustic Pies of Stillwater was created 2 months later.. My company has grown and evolved quickly and within a year we re branded as "Sara's Tipsy Pies" DBA. I had noticed the importance of "Point of Difference" in many successful businesses. So I made my pies different. No more big pies. Just hand-held pies and the best part, LOCAL ALCOHOL. Something just clicked. My company was getting noticed. I was making my very own money! I was contributing to my family and I felt like I had another purpose to be proud of. Now I'm dealing with brides, retailers and distributors plus my family. Now I just have to figure out how to meet demand without compromising quality. Or my sanity. Or my marriage. But trust me I will! That's the fun of small business ownership. It's a crazy ride and you are either in it to win it or I think you have a nice little hobby. (I DON'T NEED A HOBBY!)
