Teresa's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to venture into other areas of farming like horticulture, to help educate her family.

Teresa's story

Over time, Teresa has been persevering to reach her goal of improving her living conditions and having a better life. She is a loving and unassuming woman who works tirelessly for the welfare of her family. She hails from the Kapsowar area of Kenya, near the Great Rift Valley escarpment (a major tourist attraction in Africa).

She has been farming for the past five years. Through those years she has gathered much experience and is considered among the best farmers in her village. Teresa practices mixed farming. Her primary sources of income are milk, eggs, crops and some small business ventures that help her make ends meet.

Teresa has always wanted to increase her income by buying horticulture seeds to plant, so that once the crops are ready for harvest, she can sell them. That is why she is seeking this loan.

Kenya's Kapsowar area, one of the country's populated regions, has a high demand for horticulture produce. This means that Teresa could increase her profits and satisfy the demand that is there. Her greatest dream is to see her family happy, making progress and avoiding deprivation.

She promises to pay back the loan in full.
