A loan helped to pay tuition fees for her children.

Marsella's story

Marsella is an ambitious, smallholder farmer from the Molo area, which is a luxuriant potato- and maize-producing region in the Rift Valley Province of Kenya.

Marsella is very passionate, hardworking, and eager to learn and take on new challenges. These qualities have propelled her to become one of the most respected farmers in her village. She sells milk, poultry and vegetables produced on her farm.

Of all the activities in which she involves herself, dairy farming is closest to her heart. She enjoys waking up every morning to go and milk her cows and feed them with fodder that has high nutritional value. She is so keen and close to her cows, she has named them, which makes Marsella very proud, and she feels fulfilled.

Marsella is seeking an education loan to pay school fees for her children. She believes that the knowledge and skills her children will get from school will help them have a brighter future.
