Yakene C Group's story

Hawa is the woman holding the ram by the horn in the group photo. She is Malian, literate and is 37 years old. She has a good character. She is married and the mother of 7 children, 3 girls and 4 boys. The oldest is 12 and the youngest is 1 year old. Only one girl goes to school amongst the children.

Hawa raises sheep and farms. The hopes and dreams of this good woman is to manage to provide a moderate amount of food for her family, get a larger loan for her sheep raising business and provide her children with a good education.

She lives in Mali in the Mopti region. She has comd to IMF and especially RMCR as it is beneficial. Hawa gets her stock in the local markets and sells in the same markets and often at home. She is happy that it is a business that generates revenue and is convenient for rural women. Her monthly revenue can be up to 7,000 XOF. Hawa will use the loan to buy rams for her sheep raising business that she has run for 10 years. She often faces the problems of sicknesses and low sales.
