A loan helped to buy more red oil, rice, vita, salt, pepper, onions and peanut butter.

Kebbeh's story

Kebbeh, 34 years old, is single with 2 children, ages 10 and 15, both of whom are in school. Kebbeh attended school until 10th grade and earns her living selling red oil, rice, vita, salt, pepper, onions and peanut butter.

Kebbeh has run her business for 19 years. She started her business by working and saving up money; she learned the trade from her brother.

She says she is most content when she has many buyers. She appreciates that her shop allows her to be self-supporting. She describes herself as a hardworking businesswoman, and typically spends 10 hours per day at her business.

Kebbeh plans to use her Kiva loan to buy more red oil, rice, vita, salt, pepper, onions and peanut butter in order to expand her business.

She hopes to continue supporting her children through their education, and one day to build her own home.

She wishes to say thank you to all Kiva lenders, since the money she will receive is very helpful to her.
