but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy cost-efficient maize seeds and fertilizer.

Agnes' Group's story

Agnes is 53 years old and has 10 children. She has been a farmer for more than 20 years and has always been thought of as a very hardworking individual. Even though Agnes is the only one appearing in the photo, she is actually representing a group of 15 farmers from Chwele District, Kenya.

Agnes started working with One Acre Fund in 2011. She decided to do so because she wanted to have access to the best seed prices. Since then, she has seen her life improve in the sense that she has been able to consistently feed her family. This year she decided to represent her group because she wanted to help more farmers.

Her group will receive farming inputs to plant a total of 12.75 acres of land. In addition, some of the farmers in the group will be purchasing a solar light, so the group will also receive a total of six solar lights.
