Na Tau 54 Group's story

Phuong is a 23-year-old Thai ethnic lady who is married and has two small children. She lives with her husband, son and daughter in a Thai ethnic traditional stilt house in a small remote village. The village is located in a poor mountainous province where people mainly rely on small-scale agricultural production.

Phuong was able to complete her studies only through grade 9 because of a difficult situation she was in. She wants her children to complete their education so she works very hard to be able to send them to school.

Phuong and her husband work in agriculture and animal husbandry. Recently, she has requested a loan from the Anh Chi Em program and she will use the loan to purchase pigs for raising, breeding and selling.

She hopes that those piglets will grow up healthly and quickly to bring great profit to her. Phuong hopes that her family will escape poverty and have a better future.
