Salma's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to increase her stock of fruits, best-selling vegetables, and potatoes.

Salma's story

Salma is a hard-working woman, with two school-going children. She is in her mid-30s. To support her family she operates a grocery stall, where she sells seasonal fruits, green vegetables, and ingredients. She's been in this business for two years and is happy that she's making good profits.

This will be her very first loan request to Kiva, through Tujijenge Tanzania. As a greengrocer, Salma says her biggest business challenge is inadequate working capital. She will use the loan to increase her stock available to sell, including fresh fruits, best-selling vegetables, bunches of bananas, and potatoes.

Her biggest business dream is to grow much more. She will be responsible for paying back the loan, in full, at maturity.
