A loan helped to add more stock of clothes in her shop so as to increase profits.

Gracious Women Group's story

Lynette has grown her business from a vender selling fruits and vegetables at a gate side to running her store with the help of business mentoring and financial support from Thrive.

Lynette is a married mother of three children and her husband is a cross border trader selling and restocking fruit from South Africa which she supplies to supermarkets in Harare. Lynette and her family stay in a rented house in Waterfalls Harare. She joined Thrive in 2012 together with some neighbours and they formed a group which they named Gracious Women. They have been receiving business advice and loans since then.

The other members of the group dropped out and only two members remain. With her profits, she has managed to meet her husband half way in paying their children's school fees and meeting basis needs like food for the rest of the family.

Lynette will use her portion of this loan to add more stock of clothes in her shop so as to increase profits.
