The person raising her hand in the photo is Jepkogei of Tuiyo-Gaa Women group. She is 30 years old, married and blessed with 5 children. She joined Hand in Hand Eastern Africa in the year 2013 to benefit from the training on enterprise development and financial management. This helped her improve her knowledge in business management .

Jepkogei does maize and bean farming as her main economic activity. She is borrowing a Kiva loan to buy certified seeds and fertilizer to boost her crop yield, hence more income to cater for school fees, clothing and healthcare for her children.
