Daysi Edith's story

Daysi is 49 and divorced with 2 children from the relationship, aged 18 and 13, both of whom are studying, one at university and the other at high-school. They live in the city of Manta which is known for its beautiful beaches and which was recently affected by an earthquake that caused a lot of destruction but little by little the people are recovering thanks to their work.

Daysi is a hardworking woman who doesn’t give up in the face of adversity but tries to get ahead for the good of her family. She is a teacher in a school, but in order to earn more income she runs a photocopying service from her home and her children help run the service while she is working. They also sell a variety of school supplies and she has been running the business for more than 20 years. The business was affected by the earthquake but it is gradually improving and now with the loans she hopes it will improve further.

This loan is to buy school supplies, paper, ink and other necessary supplies. Daysi likes the help that the loans provide her with. Her dream is to provide the best for her children.
