Saren's story

Saren is 29 years old. She is a married woman who has one child. Saren is a reliable person who lives in Prey Kanlang Village, Phteah Rung Commune, Phnum Kravanh District, PURSAT Province, Cambodia. To make a living, Saren has been involved in the farming business. Her husband is an also a farmer. Currently, both of them are earning approximately USD 10 per day.

Saren is encouraged to instill healthy living conditions, safeguard her family's health and protect the environment. So now she would like to apply for a KIVA loan via HKL which she will use to build a hygienic latrine and septic tank to improve her household sanitation practices for the sake of her family. This is the first loan cycle for her with KIVA and she wants to get a new loan cycle to build a new house. She would like to expresses her thanks to all Kiva lenders for showing their interest in poor people like her.
