Pku- Ywar Thar Aye-2 (B) Village Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase farming essential inputs like crop seeds and good quality compost.

Pku- Ywar Thar Aye-2 (B) Village Group's story

Khin (middle in the picture) is a 37-year-old married woman who loves reading and was able to finish high school, which is not a common achievement in the countryside of Myanmar. With basic economic resources, she supports two dependent children. She is the featured borrower of PKU-Ywar Thar Aye-2 (B) Village Group.

She farms with her spouse, growing a variety of beans and chilies on their 3.5 acre farm. Khin’s loan portion will be invested to purchase farming essential inputs like crop seeds and good quality compost for the nourishment of each crop. This will ideally result in higher income and better cash flow for her household. In this way she will be able to financially improve her standard of living, and her family's quality of life. Khin always wishes to keep increasing her harvest so that she is able to save more to purchase three more farm plots.

This village group is located in Central Myanmar’s Pakokku Township, which is in the dry zone of Myanmar. Most of the villagers earn their living as farmers, day laborers, operating grocery stores, or raising livestock.
