Samer's story

Samer is a 32-year-old married Palestinian refugee. He lives with his wife in a Palestinian refugee camp which is considered a slum that lacks many basic human needs.

Samer owns his own automobile repair shop with an experience which exceeds 16 years. He started as a worker in a garage and worked hard till he managed to own his current business. Besides this garage, he is currently working in transporting students as a secondary job.

Samer is a previous borrower from Kiva's field partner, Al Majmoua and has proved himself as a reliable borrower throughout the past eight loans. Samer is now applying for this entrepreneur loan to increase his income through buying another car and renting it to a cab driver.

Samer's previous loans have helped him open his own garage, get married and complete his home construction. This proves his ability to invest in his loan to improve his living conditions.
