Las Amigas Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase wholesale clothing.

Las Amigas Group's story

The “Las Amigas” (The Friends) communal bank is starting its first lending cycle with Pro Mujer as a part of Centro Focal Villa Tejada. The communal bank is made up of nine members and is overseen by a board of directors. Señora Reveca is the Board President.

The loan they are taking out will benefit small, micro entrepreneurs like señora Reveca. Reveca currently has a business selling clothing. She says that she learned the business on her own initiative several years ago.

The loan Reveca is taking out is for increasing her capital. She will purchase wholesale clothing from the wholesale vendors in La Paz. She will later sell the clothing from her sales stall. This form of work allows Reveca to generate income to help her family financially; she is married and has one son.
