Divino Nino Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy a "quintal" (about 100 lbs) of corn to make and sell tortillas.

Divino Nino Group's story

The Divino Nino (Divine Child) community association consists of nine members, seven women and two men. They are all responsible mothers and fathers with 15 minor age children. At this time they struggle daily to get ahead with their families. They are all known as responsible people with the desire for self-improvement and an excellent payment history as they have demonstrated with their earlier loans.

The association coordinator is Maria who works making and selling tortillas out of her home. She works ten hours daily selling her products. She gets up at 4 am to cook and grind the corn, pat it into tortillas and sell her products. She is very happy to do this work in her home as it is the main source of income for her family.

The purpose of this loan is to buy a "quintal" (about 100 lbs) of corn to sell tortillas.

Divino Nino is grateful for the aid that Kiva investors give to low income people in poor countries like Nicaragua so they may have decent work.
