Sendy's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy a solar panel, a dry battery, and an inverter for her home.
Sendy's story
Sendy is 47 years old, married, and has nine children. She lives in a rural community outside of Honiara, the capital of the Solomon Islands.
She runs and operates a small food stall where she sells fish'n chips to earn a living. She has been doing this for six years.
With her previous loans, she was able to start up her business, pay for her children's school fees, and meet her family's weekly expenses. With the ongoing help of SPBD staff on how to run a business, she is making an income, and her business runs very well.
Sendy is now requesting a new loan to buy a solar panel, a dry battery, and an inverter for home. She plans to use the profits she gained from her business to improve her home.
She joined SPBD in 2013 to gain access to financial services.
