Marina De Jesús's story

Marina is 39 years old. She went to school up to the ninth grade. She is the single mother of three children who are in school, and are completely dependent on her. Marina has worked in a bakery for many years, and additionally, when she is in her home she takes advantage and sells tortillas with her mother's help. Her financial situation has not been easy, especially being single, which is why she works these two jobs and with her earnings she gives her children a better life.

In the past, Marina has received two loans from Kiva to fix her house, and she has repaid both debts successfully. Now she has decided to request a new loan to buy an industrial griddle and corn for her tortilla sales so that with her earnings her children will be able to keep studying, since she is a single mother.

Marina's goal is to continue working to provide a good future for her children because they want to stay in school.
