Yam

Yam P., a modest villager living in the province of Banteay Meanchey, Cambodia, is divorced and takes care of three children studying in the local public school. She collects duck eggs from local rural farmers and then sells them in bulk to a market seller for a profit of around $6 each day which she uses to care for her family and pay for her children’s school fees. Yam P.’s current income is not enough for her family’s daily expenses, so she hopes to earn additional revenue by using a loan from Kiva’s partner HKL to order gas to sell.
