Gs. Luchadores De Poteca Group's story

Melba is a very hard-working woman. She has dedicated herself to agriculture for more than five years. She has three manzanas [~5 acres] of land which she plants with corn and beans. She has an irrigation system which guarantees that the harvest will be steady. She carries out the harvest every four months, and she makes her sales in the main outlets in her area.

Melba has one daughter, who is 6 years old and in first grade. With the help of her husband, Melba will be able to put her daughter through university. Her husband works in another city which is six hours away. He only comes every two weeks or once a month to visit them. Because of this, Melba has chosen to dedicate herself to growing staple crops, since these are products that are in great demand in the area.

Melba is requesting the help of the loan to buy fertilizers, urea, compost, and insecticide, to provide good support for her crops and to obtain her harvest.

Melba dreams of being able to expand the area she has under cultivation, of gradually improving the technology for her crops in order to obtain a good harvest and one of better quality, and that her daughter will graduate.

She is requesting the help of the loan in group form with the following people: Ludyn, who works in agriculture; Yeymi, who works in agriculture; Elsy, who works in agriculture; and Félix, who works in agriculture.
