Ndeye G's Group's story

Created in June 2009, this group of 28 women living in the same district, work at their various income generating activities such as small trade, cereal conditioning, and agriculture. There is a good understanding between the members of the group, their solidarity is manifest.
Mrs. Ndeye (standing on the far left with one hand raised), is the leader of this group. She is 54, a widow and mother of four sons. She has started a business selling potatoes that she boils for resale, oranges and flour for preparing sweets also for resale.
With her new loan, she plans to buy two sacks of potatoes, two bowls of peanut oranges and 15 kg of flour.
With her profits that she puts aside, she provides for the daily expenses, takes care of her children, and makes savings.
