Mary's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support
A loan helped To purchase firewood and fresh groundnuts.
Because she is married to a polygamous husband, Mary has to provide for herself and her children. Also, Mary has a problem with her left leg which makes her unable to do some jobs that are available to other women in her community. Nonetheless, Mary is quite ready to fight through life to the last moment with every morsel of strength. This is why she became a GHAPE beneficiary in 2004. Mary has been supporting her family on her firewood and her groundnut businesses.
This is Mary’s fourth loan from GHAPE. She plans to buy firewood to split and transport, and to buy fresh groundnuts to boil and sell retail on a daily basis. Firewood is always needed in her community and groundnuts are used as food and dessert, so they always sells well. Thus, her business is sure to be successful after this loan.
With the profits from this loan, Mary plans to pay for her children's school fees and other educational needs and to pay medical bills. She hopes this loan will improve her and her family's standard of living. She prefers GHAPE loans because the conditions of the loans work well for her.
