Ta Pauk Taw (South) -1 (E) Village Group's story

Included in the photo (second from the left) is Khin, who is 58 years old. Her main businesses are farming and raising goats. She has been raising goats for four years and currently has over ten goats. She needs to keep her goats healthy, and that starts with a good foundation with proper housing and feed. She will use this loan to pay labor fees to collect green grass like alfalfa and hay for her goats. This allows the goats to give the best meat and milk.

Ta Pauk Taw (South) is located in Magway, which is in the central dry zone Myanmar. This group currently has seven village members, including the featured borrower, who helps to lead the loan program in the area. People in this village usually grow sesame, groundnuts and green gram (mung bean), but suffer from drought and labor shortages. To generate additional income, some villagers raise goats for both milk and meat.

Pictured above are loan customers from Ta Pauk Taw (south) village named Khin, Htay, Mar, Cho, Win, Kyu and Khin.
