Ta Pauk Taw (South) -1 (C) Village Group's story

This group is located in central Myanmar’s Magway Township. The group currently has seven village members, including the featured borrower, who helps to lead the loan program in the area. People in this village usually grow sesame, groundnuts and green gram (mung bean), but suffer from drought and labor shortages. To generate additional income, some villagers raise goats for both milk and meat.

Cho (first from the left), the featured borrower, is 43 years old and is blessed with one daughter. She lives with her family. She owns 16 goats and aims to buy more does (female goats) with this new loan. Also, she will repair her goat fencing as her goats need safe shelters to protect them from extreme weather. Cho expect to raise baby goats in the winter, so she needs to have a clean, warm stable for this purpose.
