Hilda Mercedes's story

Picoazá is abundant in commerce, religious festivals, and in the production of vegetables, legumes, and tropical fruits (cucumbers, tomatoes, eggplants, watermelons, cantaloupes, etc.) for domestic consumption. It has a variety of tasty traditional dishes and the best ceviches.

Hilda is 36 years old. She is married and from this relationship she has 2 children, ages 19 and 6, one in university and the other in primary. Her husband is a school bus driver. She lives in her mother-in-law’s home.

In order to get ahead with her family, she has a grocery store in her home. There she sells all types of products such as rice, sugar, oils, detergents, legumes, vegetables, and fruits. She works every day from 8:00am until 9:00pm and sometimes later. She has been doing this activity for two and a half years and is doing very well.

This loan is going to be used to buy a freezer and to install metal wire mesh fencing for security.
