A loan helped to buy sheep to resell.

Dembagnouman Group's story

Bakary is the one holding the ram's head in the photo. He is from Mali and 52 years old. He attended primary school. He is a married father of eight children, of whom five attend school. His wife manages the household.

Bakary works primarily by raising sheep. He takes out loans with RMCR to buy sheep from the local markets. He resells the animals in the weekly markets. He has done this for 15 years.

With his sales, he makes 40,000 to 60,000 francs CFA as a monthly profit. With these earnings, he is able to support his family's needs (healthcare, sufficient food, clothing).

Bakary often faces issues with sick animals and animal death, but he is able to manage these challenges.

He loves raising livestock because it works well with loans through RMCR. He hopes to improve his farming and improve his house with cement.
