Uwezesho Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase more kilos of wheat flour, beans, sugar, packets of matchboxes, candles, rice and drinking powder.

Uwezesho Group's story

Jane is in her early forties, married with five children who are still in school. She has been operating a shining general store for more than twenty years. She started with a fruit stand before growing into a general store. She opens her shop at 6 am and closes at 10 p.m daily to raise her profit.

This will be her second loan request to Kiva from Tujijenge Tanzania. Her previous loan, all of which has been paid back successfully, allowed her to buy utensils, ingredients, liters of cooking oil, and liters of paraffin for her food vending business. She is happy that her business is going on so well and her daily income has increased. She used the additional profit for loan repayment and household expenses, And she really appreciates Kiva for the massive support to her business.

Jane applied for this loan to replace the out of stock items in her restaurant, to increase her food inventory as a Mama lishe and buy a brand new water tank for restoration. She will share this loan with her loan group members of "Uwezesho" and they will be accountable for paying back the loan in full at maturity.
