Jessica Jessenia's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy perfume, blouses, women's t-shirts, and shoes.

Jessica Jessenia's story

Portoviejo is a city that was hit by the earthquake of April 16, 2016. Its people get up each day with their work and their desires to get ahead. It is rich in production of greens, legumes, and tropical fruits for domestic consumption. Tourism is growing there, since this canton has beach, city, and country.

Jessica is 30 years old and is in a common-law marriage, from which she has two children, ages 5 and 13. They currently attend primary school and secondary school. Her partner is an auto mechanic.

To earn her own resources and, with them, to be able to help her husband with their household’s expenses, she works selling products by Yanbal and Avon (beauty products, cosmetics, perfume, and women’s accessories). She also sells shoes from catalogs, for women, men, and children, and clothing of all types. She works Monday through Saturday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm in her house, where she has a little shop. She has had this business for more than three years. She works alone, and also sells costume jewelry. She sells products on credit and charges every week.

This loan is to buy perfume, blouses, t-shirts for women, and shoes. She has been in the loan group for three cycles, and she likes it due to the low interest rates and the medical insurance. Her dream is to have a large retail store in the town center to sell a lot.
