Kyon La Tar-3 (A) Village Group's story

Pictured above are Khin, Thu, Than, Aye A, Aye M, and Win from Kyon La Tar-3 (A) Village Group in Kun Yangone Township in Myanmar.

Than (first from the left in the picture) is a 45-year-old, honest man. He is married and the father of three children. Than is a carpenter who loves making furniture like tables, chairs, and cupboards. He loves creating new designs. He provides for his family through the carpentry business and raising ducks. Sometimes he goes fishing to earn extra income. He started his duck farm with the purpose of increasing his household income, and now it has been operating for five years.

This Kiva loan will be used to purchase needed duck feed and to build a new duck barn. One of the most important factors in raising ducks is a good and comfortable habitat, which makes them happy and allows them to lay more. This boosts Than's income.
