A loan helped to buy crates of beer, soft drinks, packages and supplies for her shop.

Luz Amanda's story

Luz is a merchant from Bogota who set up her own business in 2002. She is a single mother with an eight-year old son.

Luz was previously employed by a private company. When she lost her job, she decided to start her own business to provide the income for her family. She opened a shop where she sells food, beverages, liquors and packages. She starts work at 8 o'clock in the morning and works strenuous hours until 11 o'clock at night in order to provide the income for her family.

She is requesting her first Kiva loan with the Mario Santo Domingo Foundation to stock up her shop with products such as crates of beer, soft drinks, packages and supplies. By increasing her inventory she will be able to sell more and is hoping for your support.
