Ibtissam's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to pay for school for her five children.

Ibtissam's story

Ibtissam is a 41-year-old, Lebanese married mother of five. In an attempt to help her husband, who works as a taxi driver to provide for their children, she started her own home-based Mouneh business. Her business relies on preparing jams, pickles and such foods that can be stored.

This is her 3rd time borrowing from Kiva’s field partner, Al Majmoua, and she wishes to use this loan to pay for school for her five children. One of her children (21 years old) is in a vocational school studying childhood education and the 19-year-old is studying accounting, while the others are in private and public schools (16-year-old in grade 10, while the 12-year-old is in grade 7), the 7-year-old child has special needs and attends a specialized school where he can adapt with the environment.

Ibtissam is thankful for her previous loans, which helped afford her children’s education expenses and improve her own business. By contributing to this loan, you won’t be only helping a woman, but also five other children who wish to receive proper education.
