Mireya Fabiola's story

Mireya is 35 years old. She is married and from this relationship has three children aged 25, 18 and 16 years old. The youngest studies in Secondary school and all three still live with her. Her husband works in a government institution. They live in Los Bajos in Montecristi, a city known for it's great variety of traditional products such as the straw hats known inside and outside the country.

She is a women who helps her husband with the household expenses. To do this she works selling shoes. Her method of selling is door-to-door although for the majority of her merchandise it is only for delivery as almost everything she is going to buy is already requested. She leaves them on credit and collects every week. She has run this business for 3 years which she started thanks to the loans she received from her group.

She will use this loan to buy shoes and sneakers as she has a lot of requests to distribute. She likes [the communal bank] as the loans are always helpful. Her dream is to provide the best for her family.
