Maria Monserrate's story

Maria, 60, was widowed several years ago. Her marriage produced 3 children who are now grown. One of her children still lives in her home. They live in the city of Manta, a place with beautiful beaches that attract both national and international visitors.

Maria is a woman who has had to work hard to get ahead. After the death of her husband, she had to work in order to earn a living. She has a small truck that she uses to go out to sell bananas throughout the city. She takes wholesale delivery of the bananas at her home from farmers in the area, and later she sells them with the help of her child. This way, they can earn a good living and get ahead. Maria has had this business for more than 30 years. Previously, she ran the business with her beloved husband.

Maria will use this loan to buy bananas. She likes taking the loans, because they are a great help to her. Her dream is to continue forward with her business.
