Bodjina -Wana Group's story

Amadou is the group member who is holding the bull on a rope [in the photo]. He is 51 years old, married and the father of 12 children ranging from 5 to 22 years of age, four of whom are or have been in school. His wife is a homemaker and also works as a vendor to help improve the family's life conditions. Amadou has been raising cattle for over 25 years. He stocks up at his local market.

Thanks to the revenues from his cattle business, Amadou manages to pay for his family's food, healthcare and school fees for his children. At present he owns three heads of cattle. His animals receive proper veterinary care. Amadou expects to earn a revenue from 50,000 to 75,000 [West African francs] per head of cattle. He is generous and enjoys a good reputation. Amadou would like to have another loan in order to expand his cattle business.
