Milly's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase more cosmetic products to grow her business.

Milly's story

Milly is 34 years old and lives in the town of Rukoki in the Kasese region of Uganda. She is married and has four children who are all currently in school. For the past four years, she has been working hard to manage her small business shop, which deals in cosmetic items.

To help expand her business, Milly has requested a loan of 3,000,000 UGX from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to purchase more cosmetic products to grow her business. This will help her to generate greater profits, and it will allow her to pay school fees and new clothes for her four kids. Milly hopes that in the future, she will be able to improve more on her business, to see that she expands the it into a wholesale shop.

Milly is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise Program (SEP). The program primarily serves small entrepreneurs like her who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown too large for microloans.
