Sakina Maqbool Hussain Group's story

My name is Sakina, and I have lived in Arifwala, Pakistan, for 15 years. I own a two-room brick house in which I live with my family: my husband and my two children. My husband's name is M. H.. He runs a dairy business. Actually, he buys milk from the milk men and sells the milk to the community. This work requires a struggle and the profits are small. Therefore, we decided to buy a buffalo so we could sell our own milk to the milk shops. I am the group leader of two other women from my locality. Parveen akhtar baji wants a loan to buy an auto-rickshaw (a local three-wheeled motor vehicle). Shamim akhtar baji wants a loan to buy fruits for her fruit selling business. This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible. Note: Sakina baji is seated on the right.
