but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase more ingredients to produce even more cakes.

Sama Rasa Puu Boa Group's story

Sama Rasa Puu Boa is a loan group of seven women who are trying to run small businesses at home for which they need capital funds for support. Currently they are requesting a loan from TLM amounting to 15,750,000 IDR - of which each woman gets 2,250,000 IDR.

Maria is one of these women and the one raising her hand in the picture above. She is 44 years old and married to Wilhelmus, a 47-year-old builder.

In their marriage, they have been blessed with four children. Two of their children are married and two are still in elementary school. Maria is willing to help her husband to pay their children’s education fees, so she decided to run a business selling various kinds of cake in the local market as well as in front of their house, earning 100,000 – 150,000 IDR/per day since she took the first loan. Currently, she is requesting this second cycle loan from TLM to purchase more ingredients to produce even more cakes and thus increase her income.
